Hatching eggs with a hen

*Personally* I think that broodies are better than incubators. I always dealt with the chicks getting attached to my hand and would cry until I came in and showed them the food with my hand... so of course, I made a trip to the feedstore, and had to get some chicks to teach them how to eat.

Broody hens sometimes, but not all the time, can reject chicks. I've had good luck with broodies accepting hatchery Leghorns. Often times, broodies will be scratching away, and a chick will come to close and be kicked. The'll peep for a few, but since they are fluffy they aren't usually damaged.

That's just my personal thought
