hello, I have 5 eggs in the incubator at the moment all with detached air sacks. They are on day 24 and have been standing, pointed end down in a egg carton. They are set to hatch this weekend. All the air sacks are saddled but every last egg is fertile and growing. Is there anything that these eggs need during lock down (higher humidity/lower humidity than usual) to increase the hatch rate? Do I have them upright in the boxes? And does anyone know what a Cayuga cross Aylesbury duck will look like??
Thanks x

Sounds like they have done well, despite the bad air cells. Congrats on getting them this far!

I usually still lay them down for hatching. They should still hatch ok, no change in humidity necessary. The one thing that slightly concerns me is when it comes time to zip, that the odd “warped” places in the membrane might hinder proper zipping. Like trying to get out from under a wet blanket that isn’t anchored anywhere, if you get what I mean. It should be ok, but I like to watch those especially close, just in case.

Please let us know how it goes. And good luck!
