Hatching eggs

Just an update as of now I only have 1 chick out of 25. Not sure what went wrong, but I'll take however many that decides to hatch. Kinda upset I didn't get a few more, but im still happy that i have 1 that has hatch. I'll give them a few more days before I shut of the bator. Keeping fingers crossed for a few more

Congrats on the chick!! :celebrate -- IF no more hatch, you may want to find a little friend for your baby. Chicks are social and will need a buddy.

There may be other issues but one thing is clear, a single chick out of 25 eggs hatching on day 22/23 is a sure sign your temperature was low throughout. Probably at least 1 degree F.
Thermostats, thermometers and hygrometers are notorious for being unreliable.
They need to be calibrated or verified with one guaranteed to be accurate.
As a temporary fix, as was suggested, set it higher next batch.
There are two very accurate thermometers that aren't prohibitively expensive I recommend. The previous suggestion of a Brinsea Spot Check is a good one.
I also like this Thermoworks pocket digital - very accurate and fast.

When I started using them they agreed with each other and all the other thermometers were either higher or lower, some by a lot. All of a sudden my hatch rate went up.
Most of the thermometers I had been using went into the trash.
I may invest in a good hygrometer this year but when I couldn't keep them calibrated I switched from checking humidity to weighing eggs.
It is better for hatching since there are lots of variables and not all eggs shed moisture the same.
Ideal weight loss during the 21 days of incubation is 13%. They'll lose about 0.65% per day.
