Hi I have just had a blue bibbed call duck sat on 13 eggs and they all hatched has anyone ever experienced this

It depends on the mother. Sometimes they accept the other duckling, sometimes they don't. The way I see it, if I had 13 babies I probably wouldn't even notice if someone threw in another one...But I had a Magpie it only hatched 1 out of 10 can I give some chicks from the blue bibbed
Can you mix chicks if they are about the same age but different colours

That duck was about 15 miles away from me.It depends on the mother. Sometimes they accept the other duckling, sometimes they don't. The way I see it, if I had 13 babies I probably wouldn't even notice if someone threw in another one...
By the way, did you ever hear about the "Super Mom" merganser (a type of wild duck)? A couple years ago she was spotted with 76 babies! She adopted them all when the natural mothers abandoned them. So cute!
