Hatching eggs

I have a hen sitting on 8 eggs right now, I’ve been interested in adding more chicks soon but don’t have a place to keep them right now. If I were to buy chicks and put them in with her would she still sit on her 8 and successfully hatch some?

She can't sit on eggs and raise chicks also. Hens may sit an extra day or so after chicks hatch but when she knows chicks need to eat/drink she will abandon nest and any eggs not hatched yet.
