I have kept rare breeds for 10 years now. It's a struggle most of the time, because everybody is breeding out the same stock and sometimes features get lost. I am not hard core and do not show, I want to enjoy and maintain some of the rarest poultry breeds in the world. I do not claim they are all perfect, but I am always looking to improve upon my existing flocks. I also have to buy from others and try not to continue flaws, sometimes it is unavoidable because the numbers of living birds are so low and haven't been maintained in their proper version. I also try to go as close to original source as possible to avoid other peoples improvement projects. So, if you want to start with any of these breeds, I have eggs of
Araucana, blue and white are together, tufted and clean faced
Silverudd's blue, 2nd import-not tested for green eggs. they all lay green and kids lay green
Cream Brabanter
Dutch booted bantam, mille fleur to porcelain and 1 black mottled until I can replace her
Deathlayer gold and silver- same pen to improve health of future generations
Cemani
Nankin rc
Silkied Serama, 1 white smooth hen will carry silkied, mixed colors
Pavlovskaya, gold and pumpkin
Schijndelaar as soon as they show fertile
