I just put some duck eggs into the incubator today !
They are going to take 28 days.
Chickens are 21 days.

Thanks my hubby is always right dont you just hate that. I bought thees eggs online so we will see if they hatch.
I had a very bad day today. I had 2 day old rabbits doing great! Someone took them out off their nest and put them in a diferent cage 2 doors down. I was very upset. The babbies will not fit through the wiere cage, and they cant walk yet. someone moved them . I live in a small town. no crime here. I cant imagine who or why. They are all dead now. wont give up, My husband is going to make some locks for me. Lisa

Sorry to hear about the baby bunsters. I had a blue dutch doe years ago in 4h. I bred her once to a black dutch buck and it was the most fun! She was a wonderful mama and I learned SO much.
Anyway. on the eggies. Yep 21 days for term, turn at least 3 days (if by hand) or let the auto turner work it's magic, and "lock down" at 18 days... meaning no more turning so the chickes can get themselves into hatching possition. Humidity is different depending on who you talk to, personally I put mine at 35% for the first 18 days then raise it to 65/70 at lockdown. Once they start to hatch DO NOT open the bator. This is the hardest thing!!! I always want to pull them out and play with them... I lost two that had started to hatch by opening the bator. The chicks got stuck to the shell and couldn't get out... they died

and I learned a hard lesson.
best of luck!
