Im holding temp will need to check again soon its getting colder out and heat need to come up in house or im going to freeze!
Can you see the dish under the round one? Think it will do? Can I take out the smaller one or leave?

I don't think the smaller one is doing much. And if your heat is on the bottom, reverse what I said about measuring temps. The temp at the bottom of the egg should be around 100-101 and the temp on top of the egg 98-100.

If you can't get a bulb "just right" you can use a dimmer switch to adjust the power going to a bigger bulb. I made my first incubator about 18 years ago out of a shower pan, a rotary dimmer switch, a ceramic socket mounted to a box under the drain hole, a 60 watt bulb, and a piece of acrylic for the top. It was a really bad design as the corners were very cold, the bulb had no room above it, there was no air circulation, and the slope of the floor kept eggs rolling to the middle. But it made a really good brooder with a wire cage around the bulb and more holes in the top. The dimmer let me adjust the temp down every week with ease.

if your having trouble with the heat staying in u could always use a blanket to cover it

Well I cant close the door because it gets too hot a dimmer would be helpful but think that a lower heat bulb would be a faster and longer lasting problem solving solution. And more need so I can keep door shut I got up and noticed the door had fell wide open during the night. Temp was at 80* on top of the eggs. They were cold to the touch but not cold like would be outside the box. Soooooo have I blowen the whole thing or could there be a chance? Most eggs are only been I. three days

JUST FOR KICKS AND GIGGLES.. in the *chance* anything would survive in the next month.. I got pictures of my four eggs that are 7days along. Maybe you can tell me how it looks as of right now .. ignoring my drop in heat that I have no idea after 11pm when it happened.

Some of these have real spotty shells I dont know if that is egg or just thinner areas of shell.
This last picture showes a dark spot but I think its a smudge on the egg.

I am not an expert but my eggs looked like that day 2-3, day 7 I could se kinda a spider with veins.

By the way, if you have a drop in Temperature, the eggs may still hatch but at slower pace

Thats what I was thinking I did see a couple veins on one of the thiner shells but looked like more 2or3days egg.. it was gathered on the twentieth.

Idate my eggs.

Im not sure, mine have been in three days, and they look sorta like that, but im not sure if theyre even fertile, but i think 1 and 2 look fertile not sure about 3 and 4 :/

Yeah only one I THINK I saw blood vains but think ill wait a few days and look again when I check the others.
