ooooh brown means drying out ok. So what woudl you do if it starts to turn brown?

If the chick is hatching along I would watch so that the membrane didn't dry to the chick. If it does, I usually try to help the chick hatch. I also will put a damp paper towel around the egg but leave a small opening for the chick to breath.

Your idea sounds logical.. But if you had to help it break out, do you actually cut or pierce the membrane? I'm curious..

I dont think I had a too dry problem because I saw the bird moving under it and it had punctured it in multiple spots. The last thing I noticed before it stopped moving was blood where its head was piercing out. Then movement stopped

Does that sound familiar?

Would just spraying the egg with a water sprayer work too?

what i would do / done it, was help the baby at least get his head out and still leave it in the egg shell just make a hole big enough so he could get his head out , unless u see clear liquid then that would be a diferent story maybe help him all the way out cus i hear that that clear liquid could dry verry fast and turn like cement,/concreat BUTTT what if he still haven sbsorb the yolk thats the problem in other words make the hole and have him get his head outif liquid comes out wow i dunno .. itd hard to help a baby hatch...

im worry about your hatch what are the updates???

The brown is dried blood. 80% is going to drown your remaining eggs. I would remove that one and see if it is still alive or not. SLOWLY chip the shell away little by little.

If you have other pips, add some water when you take that egg out.
