Hatching for the first time

I think my humidity was to high the information I received with my incubator says to run 50 to 60 1/18 days than increase last three days to 65 to 75 I keep it at 55 an seems everyone here is saying 30/50 I’m so confused

Humidity is a controversial subject with incubation. Humidity does not change the number of days of incubation. Temperature does that. If you have chicks hatching on day 23, Temperatures were most definitely too low.

Go to the incubation links and follow the instructions for calibrating a thermometer to help set the temperature for the incubator

Temperature is tightly controlled with a 1 degree variation
Humidity can vary 20 to 25% for the first 18 days of incubation. 50% is usually fine and 60% is too. A range of 35% to 55 or 60% usually makes no difference.

Incubating below 99 degrees f and above 100f will cause problems. Based on the days of incubation for your hatch, the incubator was likely closer to 98f during the first 18 days

Only two hatched on day 21 than died the other 6 rocked for two days than nothing still in shell

What is the brand and model of incubator you are using? Problems like you are seeing can be caused by temperature being off and also ventilation. There needs to be good air circulation at hatch and that includes having the vents open or the plugs removed depending on the model of the incubator.

It’s a pro series digital circulated air Incubator with automatic egg turner I think I figured out the problem between the few people that have tried to help me I have placed two thamomentors into the incubator and found that the temperature that the incubator said it was at was at 90 not 99 and also bought a humidifier reader other than the one that came with the incubator
