Hatching for the first time?

Ok everyone! I finally got it figured out! I placed a towel around my incubator and wouldn't you know it the temperature is staying regulated right at about 99.8-100 degrees and humidity is running at about 45-47. I just placed 25 eggs! Wish us luck!!

Woo hoo! Eggs in a bator! Please post in the hatch along threads. It's so exciting to share in the experience.

2/1/19 update! The eggs have been incubating for 9 days thus far and I just candled some. Out of about 12 I candled 11 are doing great! Didn't want to candle them all as to not mess with my temperature to much.. but I am so excited!!! Thank you all for the help and advice! I'll keep updating!

This is actually what I do... i don’t have temp issues but I’ve had humidity issues probably because it’s been soooo dry even though I run a humidifier in the office where the incubator is (I don’t run the humidifier in summer only winter for my poor sinuses!) but anyway I was losing humidity at a stupidly fast rate and getting super annoyed...

I have a styrofoam and janoel, I am using the styrofoam hovabator at the moment so I just took a small towel and wrapped it halfway around in the back that is against the wall. Humidity issue gone. I can see how this would also work (or the box yes!) for temp stability.

Sometimes I have to wrap one around the janoel as well it just depends on what the weather has been up to even though they are inside in an office with a pretty regular temp.

But I see you got it now soooo GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY HATCHING!!!

Sounds like it’s time for an executive decision and show MIL who wears the pants!

Incubator really needs to be in a stabile environment. Maybe wrapping it in a blanket and placing in a tub or box, without the lid of course.

Oh I didn’t see this wow you are 9 days in already! Wait, 12 days now! Woot!!!

Hey wait a sec I’m on day 12 too!!! Ha! I didn’t even realize I had to look at my app LOL

We got lockdown soon!!!!!!!! Your hatch looks promising! I got 21 out of 24 growing I tossed the 3 duds!

We should both have babies by the end of the week! Fingers crossed for us!!!

Oh how cool!!! Well tomorrow is the 18th day but I already have two that just hatched! This is so exciting!!! I hope your hatch does well! I have 25 and also had some that didn't look to be developing, but I left them in just in case so we will see what we get!
