I candled all 16 of my eggs a bit ago....6 were totally clear, so they were thrown out. The other 10 had veins and most had moving chickies in them. Only one is questionable...it had veins, but also looked sort of like it had a blood ring too. So not sure about that one.

2 weeks left of waiting!

I have Valentines babies coming too!

The neat thing is that the eggs were actually my Valentines gift from my hubby

I have 12 Ameraucana eggs from Pipsnpeeps (she sent me 16, 4 were clear at the first candling last night) due on the 12th and 14 Buff Orpingtons (16 sent, 1 cracked, 1 clear) due on the 14th.

How's everyone doing??? 10 more days!! I only had one not develop at all, infertile I guess. But I have 4 happy babies growing!!!

I have some due around the 13th - 14th. I am trying to totally ignore them this time so I haven't candled for awhile. They are cuckoo marans and EE eggs and I can't see through them very well anyway. Here's hoping something hatches!

I candled last Friday and had good results. I have 36 eggs in there and i would say maybe 6-7 were questionable. Can't wait to candle again tomorrow!!!!! I actually cheated on Tuesday. My 10 year old daughter wanted to see them candled, so i took one, and only one and showed her. It was actually moving inside this time!! What a difference 5 days makes.... I'll update tomorrow night after I candle again and get rid of all the clear and non developers....I can't believe they will hopefully be hatching in a week. I'm getting my brooder set up today already!!

Whatcha got incubating slickchick?
I Candled on Sat eve. Started with 9 eggs. 7 BLRW and 2 SLW from turbo. One of the SL was broke in shipping. Must have been really rough handling cuz the packaging was wonderful! The other SL appears to be not fertile but we will see for sure Fri or Sat. One BLR is infertile and one has what I think is a blood ring. But 5 are growing and swimming so I am happy and soo excited for this hatch! Finally a hatch with eggs of a breed I want to get into!!

I have 16 BBS from Tuffoldhen...8 SLW, 8 Barred Rock and 8 Ameraucanas....It appears that at least 11 SLW are good and developing. The BR are all looking good. I have a few question marks on some of the other breeds....Tomorrow will tell for sure!
