I've been watching this thread too with much anticipation as I have 5 sebbie eggs in the incubator. Mine are on day 24, when should I put them in lock down? I could find nothing specific regarding sebbie eggs after doing numerous searches.
All sounding very good, our oldest Dewlap eggs are now 24.5 days so technically should go into lockdown tomorrow. However I dont go into full lockdown (and raised humidity) until the eggs are Externally Pipped
Countrychix - my Dewlap Toulouse Diary has members with Sebbie eggs posting and I think you may find the info there useful.
I can see 1 of my babies..it has yellow on the front of its beak and then dark. I can sort of see down into the shell and the baby looks dark too. I hope this will be a coloured baby because I dont want all white geese. This egg only pipped in the small hours of the morning between 3am and 4am when I was up watching the Green Mile. He/she is a feisty little thing.
