I opened the shell just enough to allow my Embden gosling to get its head out and it made it the rest of the way. The yolk was fully absorbed and it seems to be getting around even quicker than the other two did. I'm glad now that I helped. I really think it was stuck. I had upped the humidity and wrapped the egg in a wet paper towel and still nothing.

In all, 3 of 8 eggs hatched. Going by the large amount of gray, I thought the first two were girls. This last one has a lot of gray too. Now I'm wondering. What are the odds of all 3 being girls?

Congrats on all your hatchings Bookerdog, of my 6 Dewlap eggs 2 have internally pipped so far, I've also got some Buff Orpington eggs hatching as well and I can hear the first one chirping away, no ones externally pipped yet, but after Petes advice its great to be able to listen to them breathing and to know they've got that far, so still sweating it out at the moment!

Pete said he worked until 7pm today. Surely it's getting close to 7 over there!! Curious to hear about his babies. Pete!..... Where are you ?..... (insert sing-songy voice here)

Oh my Gosh - all these posts to catch up on! Sorry for keeping you all waiting but Nicky was right about seeing to all the animals, the kids and a bite to eat

Buffbeauty - Wow - Holderread show stock. Our own lines are based on our Holderread and at present he's the only one Im aware of in the UK. Superb Toulouse so you're very very lucky. Just follow my notes and watch that humidity on Dewlaps

Mtacagni - thats great to hear 2 have internally pipped. I know how you feel but the clicking noise does reassure you that they're ok in there. I would expect external pipping around 24 hours after internal pipping.

Balbinka - sorry to keep you waiting for news

LOL

Okay so now my news. The first started rotation in the early hours so I knew it was a night of little sleep. They do pick their times
