hatching geese eggs

my chinese are young 12-14 months. but just got these than a week ago. they laid 2 small eggs before i got them. was wondering with the move how long it would take for them to feel at home and lay. they have all been to gether all winter so i'm sure they are already bonded. i got all 5 from same person.

Yesterday just put in 12 pilgrim goose eggs. Will be starting another 12 on monday in another incubator. Also starting 40 delaware chickens on thursday 4/7

I set 8 mixed goose eggs on 3-29-11. I made goose rails for my turner so they are in a horizontal position. Praying the motor on my turner doesn't give out... lol

Well my Sebbie eggs just arrived. Holy crap I didn't expect them to be so big!! I doubt I will get the 12 ducks eggs in there with them after all. The aircells are detatched which doesn't surprise me as they weren't packed very well. Also as expected they are very dirty. Do I just put them in dirt and all or should I scrape the worst off with a dry scrubby?

My chickens are hatching today so hopefully I will be able to set them Monday. Exciting!

When you turn them do you turn end over end in a 180 or do you roll from side to side?

I used a dry scrubby and I turn them end oer end. LOL I didnt think they were going to be that big when I ordered them. Im glad I only got 4 coz I dont think I would of got 6 in mine...well I would of but it would of been a squeeze.
