I recently purchased a pair of salmon faveroles who are less than a year old. My county fair is in July and I wanted to incubate their eggs to their offspring this year. Tonight, after a long period of not laying at all, the female bird laid an egg. However, I live in an area that is covered with snow. The egg showed no definite signs of freezing but there is a possibility that it might have. I'm not even sure the male is mating at all as he is still pretty young. Is it worth waiting to see if she lays again this week and hatching what eggs I have?
