Sorry I'm asking many questions, I'm just really new at this and you seem to be nice and you answer my questions really well.

No problem :hugs

We were all new at this once, plus you have quite a difficult situation right now with no incubator. It seems you have been thrown in at the deep end so to speak with this hatch. Once you have your incubator it will be whole different thing for you with any future eggs.

When you get to 24 hours you could go ahead and help the chick. Right now read the link that I left you on assisted hatching. It tells you what to look out for and what to do at what time.
I can't tell you that you need to help now or not. You need to go on your gut feeling. Do you think the chick is struggling now? If you feel you really need to you could make the pip hole bigger now, but only move the shell not the membrane underneath. If you do gently dampen the membrane. Dint get water in the hole though. If you see blood or veins stop immediately, it won't be ready.

Could you post a pic of the egg and pip hole?

Very neat for when the chick is older!!

Do you have a brooder box ready for when the chick hatches? You will need to keep the chick under the lamp to dry and fluff up when it first hatches and it will need heat untill it's fully feathered. Do you have a box that you can put the lamp over?
