Good morning I got up multiple times in the night and he still has the same hole it may be a tee niney bit larger but when I got up this morning and went in there he chirpedat me and he is still trying to poke through and it looks like there's another membrane over his little sharp point I will find my magnifying glassGreat...don't block the hole he is breathing through.
I just looked back at my notes.
My ducks didn't hatch until a good 34 HOURS after the made the first external pip....
so be patient.
Don't do too much.
Just wait and watch.
How do I know if he is stuckCan you chip away at tiny bit of the hole to make it a little bigger to see if he is stuck?
Follow the assisting article I linked above.
I can't tell if he's stuck or not but I chipped away enough that hopefully he could push his way out and the membrane seem to be getting soaked up by him you know the red veins so I put it back in there and let's see if he can do it himself check back in an hour what do you think you know I'm going to be hovering over him probably staring at him but who am I fooling an hour I'm going to sit there and watch him the whole timeHow do I know if he is stuck
Woot!Omg. He's almost got head out & numer 9 has external pip on bottom of egg
He pushed out!Woot!
Can you get a picture?
If he is stuck you should be able to see the membrane stuck to him...holding him in.
If you still saw red veins he is not ready to come out.
He pushed out!
9 has pipped external! OmgoodnessWoot!
