Hatching issue

No, this was the third one, hatched yesterday, late afternoon. No poops.

I had one like that hatch the other day, swollen abdomen, lethargic, kept falling onto her back, and was unable to get back up, she sadly passed last night. Some fail to pass the fitness test of hatching as some call it, most you can do is provided her with a warm stress-free area for now.

Just an update: the little one with distended belly and deformed legs passed away last night, despite our efforts. On the positive side, he isn’t suffering. And I’m thrilled to report the other three are wonderful and full of sass.

Hello everyone! Just wanted to provide a 6 week update .. the 3 ducklings are pretty much full grown and have moved outside (to the yard and lake) with their parents. They are so big I can barely tell them apart unless I get close. They seem healthy and happy and I’m really relieved they’ve been able to integrate into the existing flock. Here are some recent pics!
