Hi, I am newto the site but I have been hatching for a few years now and have never been able to get a really successful hatch, I recently had placed 22 chicken eggs in the incubator from my own chickens and about 10 days into the hatch candled the and was left with 8 the eggs wer supposed to hatch on the 6th of April but only 2 hatched, throughout the incubation the temp was 99 and humidity was 47. I am giving the eggs some extra time but my question is that is there a chance that the eggs could hatch still even though it is late

    many questions here,
what type of incubator are you using?
Did you bump the humidity prior to the earliest hatch date?
    Have any others pipped?
Have you candled the ones that have not hatched yet...seen movement, do they look the same size as the ones that did hatch? etc?
I am told that some do hatch later...I'm no expert at all on this though.
We hatched out 2 batches this spring...ones from our own hens and they came a day and a half early and all within 24-30 hours of first one. The second batch is from a friend's hens and some hatched 2 days early but some are still not pipped and some are having a longer time getting out (I hope they make it! [IMG]
Today was the scheduled hatch day so I really shouldn't be too worried...it's just that the majority hatched 2 days ago and I'm obssessing I think ha! anyhow, sorry I'm not much help.[IMG]
