Congratulations to everyone on your hatches, the look very adorable :thumbsup:loveHere is Floof, is he going to be a white silkie? The eggs I got were supposed to be gold and partridge but never mind

I went and bought three young chicks from a lady with a mixed flock so he wouldn’t be alone. And then two of my bantam brahmas hatched a day late! So now he has 5 siblings (sisters hopefully :D) and I don’t why we’ve taken to calling him a boy but we just have

Any updates on the May 19th hatch? Wishing you luck. I have some Cochins and cochin-silkie crosses about to begin hatching (one as already pipped).

I have 2 external pips just made and one which looks like it is trying to internally pip. The latter might need a full assist as it was originally a detached air-cell postage babe. I am just candling through my inc regularly to see what's happening and monitor - I am not rushing in though.

One of them isn't showing any signs of life any more - but was OK on day 18. May be that this one is a loss but I will keep an eye on her.

2 external pips = blue/lavender silkie and blue/choc silkie
Hopeful internal pipper = white silkie

I am getting more grey hairs as we speak. My other babies have settled in nicely though and seem to love destroying food!

I'm glad to hear that there's some good news! Incubation and hatching can be stressful - I needed to assist some Ameraucana chicks last night, but they're all healthy and doing well now. Needless to say I'm running on hardly any sleep :)

I hope all goes well for you and good to hear that your other chicks are settling in. Those little guys definitely like throwing food all over the place and eating lots!

Don't give up hope on the last egg yet - with luck all will go well :)

They never stop eating :D It's very sweet. I'll keep you updated on my progress - it's going to be another sleepless night, I think.

What colours do you have in the mix?
