Hatching log of a broody satin

Dodo is far from tame, but perhaps my hand feeding and pampering her makes her feel safe? Who knows but she is normally a spaz.
I’m seeing the trend now...maybe the key to a broody’s heart are the goodies we offer to her everyday 😂

My broody is the sweetest most tame chicken in my flock, but NOT when broody. She’s fierce at protecting the eggs and her babies, last time until they were 6 weeks old, they were cramming in the nest with her at night still 🤣
but did you bribe her with tastys when she was on the nest? ;)

It looks like Four is a little half-blood!

And finally, last but not least... Contender #2!

Unfortunately she has a swollen belly, I put 2 drops of colloidal silver on it, wrapped her loosely in a paper towel, before tucking her back under mom. Hopefully she’ll turn out alright, time will tell...
