Failed to reorder hatching mat for Brinsea 24. Can I cut a plastic grid used for cross stitch to substitute?? Paper towels underneath.. and maybe on top??
I thought this was a good idea now I’m freaking out as it has to be put in today.
Thanks

I use rubber grip shelf liner that you can get at Walmart. I think it’s $5-$6 for a whole roll and will last years. It’s better for their feet too than the cardboard. I hatch out both chicks and ducklings every year using the rubber shelf liner.

X2, this is what I use. It works great, even better than the mats that come with the incubator.
