Any advice on what to expect when (and if) it hatches?
I don't know much about ducks, sorry.

Some general advice is to have a brooder area ready for it when it hatched, and to have a smaller brooder space to start.

What do you currently have set up for it when it hatches?

I would get it a mirror and a stuffed or rubber animal toy to keep it company. Keep it warm and give it love and it should be just fine. I gave mine Duck Starter crumbles and lots of clean water with no treats as I never had grit for mine. I also put mine in a big plastic tub with puppy pads and that worked out well even though I had to change them several times a day.

Alright, thanks. We have raised ducklings before, but not from eggs. I have read through other threads and watched videos on hatching eggs, and I always see an umbilical cord attached to the chick (or duckling). What should I do about that?
