i have had broody number 5 start sitting now. She is sitting on a few eggs but they are from a new layer (cochin) so are quit a bit smaller in size then my adults. Will the chicks run out of room or is this okay? Seems risky to me but wanted to check. Thanks!!!

I've hatched small pullet eggs before. The chicks started off smaller, but quickly caught up the the larger chick from the larger egg.

Thanks!! Anyone else. I just can't shake the feeling that the eggs may not be big enough. They're 25%-40% smaller so it's quite a bit.

and these are the chicks the yellow one was from the ISA. :)

(I'm not trying to be pushy... just thought it might give you a better idea of the size they were.)
