So I thought I'd ask this. It got me curious when I thought about it because of some things that happened...

Are ducklings and chics more likely to hatch during the day time than night time? Or is it fairly even? What do you think about this?

I have no idea technically but... I try to put eggs in before I go to bed now, because whenever I put them in the middle of the day they hatch all night long. :barnie

Mine hatch much better in the dark TBH. I think that's because it's dark under a broody. If I leave the light on all day only a couple will hatch, but if I leave it off all day (and keep the incubator in a dark room) more hatch during the daytime. Being in darkness definitely makes more hatch during the period of darkness.
