I have been trying to hatch eggs from my ducks. I take in a new egg everyday from my duck, and mark each one so I will no exactly when its supposed to hatch. Everything goes fine, when i due the candling of the eggs I see veins and plenty of movement within the eggs. I have also been stopping rotation of each egg 3 days before its hatch date. However 28 days comes and goes but none of my eggs have hatched! I give each eggs a couple extra days but I had to dispose of many of the eggs, it became relevant that they had died once their hatch date had past and I candled the egg to see a large mass within it, however no movement. The thing that really upsets me is that one of the eggs did crack, however after two days no progress. I cracked the egg open, along with 3 others that just never hatched.. and there are fully developed dead babies inside. What am I doing wrong? Please Help! I am hoping for some successful hatches with your help!

put yout eggs in all at the same time. If you only have 1 or 2 ducks save there eggs each day and put them in @ the end of the week. An egg on day 1 and a egg on day 26 need different humidity.

Make sure to turn your eggs a few times a day and keep them in a cool area until you gather the eggs you want to put in the incubator. My husband has successfully hatched 3 and 4 week old eggs by keeping them in the basement where it is cool. It's all in how they are taken care of.
