Hatching pullet eggs??

I think that was me

If yours have been laying that long, you should be good to go. I actually set my Silkies very first eggs and had put them in the refrigerator, which is why I figured they were "double doomed". Of the refrigerated eggs I set in the bator (7) 3 are developing as they should, the other 4 were clear so I'm assuming they weren't fertile to begin with. Good luck with your hatching

Im glad I found this because I was wondering how long to wait before incubating my pullets eggs. I got my first Japanese Bantam egg today

and I have a planned set date of this sun for eggs I am picking up tomorrow. Before she laid her egg I was hoping she laid before sun so I could incubate an egg but now that my wish has come true lol I think her egg looks very tiny. Do you have a pic of your silkies first eggs so I can compare mine to your?. I think I may wait til next month though to incubate her eggs. Do you have a thread started for your hatch that I could follow?

My Silkies have laid quite a few eggs since I posted this. I don't have any pictures bc their very first eggs are in my incubator hatching as I type this. One chick has hatched out so far, and its perfect. I can say that I can't tell any difference in size between those first eggs and the eggs they laid today. Japanese are teeny tiny little birds though, so I wouldn't expect their eggs to be any different. I do have a thread about my hatch. Its called Setting Eggs, Anyone Want To Join Me? Go on over and hop on, lots of people on the thread are already setting another batch, so I hope it keeps going :)

I'm very new to hatching, I have hatched a pekin duck and am setting more tomorrow. My dad wants me to hatch some pullet eggs for him, are they incubated at the same temp and humidity as regular chicken eggs? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I don't really know the difference between the two.
