Hatching Q on mailed eggs - Ayam Cemani

Thanks! I won an auction for them over Ebay, so we'll see how it goes. Shipped eggs are a bit of a gamble, but I'm going to do what I can! If they seem a little rough when they get here, I imagine I will want to hatch them in an egg carton to help stabilize them. We'll see! :fl

Who was the seller on eBay? lots of scammers on there :(

OOooh, that would be bad... The seller's name is exoticbirdimports

I hope I don't get scammed.... Those would be some expensive mutt eggs!

Read through the section on shipped eggs. Stuff like leave them sit out for 24 hours fat end up. Don't turn them for X number of days etc... I had 4 with detatched air cells on my curent batch. Two actually re-attached...two didn't and didn't progress. Good luck! Join the December hatch along
Good tips! I'll definitely let them rest. It's been quite chilly here, will be slightly less so as the week goes on. I'm more worried about them getting too cold...or USPS playing soccer with them.

I am not familiar with that one (seems fairly new) but watch out for bobfarms (tons of white in his one line, just a $ breeder) and then there is someone from New Jersey (forgot their eBay handle) they are mix all mulberry or red combs. There are a few good breeds on the Facebook rare breed swap/sell for any future needs

Are they already I'm route? If not ask the seller to overnight (i did cost was $75 usps) the eggs where shipped one day at 10am and they arrived by a special courier at noon at my place the next day. I was alps able to track their progress (location overnight - cold time) by internet. Then they are also insured if box gets damaged by shipping.

Yeah, they are already in route. They are a state away and should arrive today or tomorrow, so hopefully they make it here alright. I probably should have gotten overnight shipping, would have been easier on the eggs. It would be so cool if I could hatch a few, keep a couple for myself, and sell a couple to make my money back on the eggs. Then, it would be like having a couple of free gothic chickens all to myself. =D I'm more interested in "collecting" cool breeds more than anything else (with the bonus of fresh daily eggs). I'm still looking for some modern game bantam eggs! They are sooo cool with those silly long legs!
