Hatching Q on mailed eggs - Ayam Cemani

Are the eggs pure or hybrids?

They should be pure. Here is a link to one of the seller's same auctions, only mine was for 6+ eggs rather than one. Seller claims that they're pure.

OK, guys... Help me out here. The eggs have arrived, and here is a picture:

Are these Ayam Cemani eggs? I'm taken back a bit by the darkness of the eggs...is that normal? They look so much lighter in other pictures. One is also surprisingly large (the darkest one, middle top). What do you think?

All of mine (and pics I have seen) look the color of the middle bottom. The breed, even older ones, don't lay x large eggs. I am slightly concerned as I emailed the guy you purchased them from to feel him out. Just asked questions on his current egg listing. He is not npip so he shipped you those eggs illegally. Also he claims he doesn't have any paperwork to prove he got the birds from GFF as he want planning on breeding them when he purchased them. I don't know about you but if I make a $3000. purchase I am keeping the receipt/ documentation! Also he sent me a nasty email after that one saying well don't bid on his eggs then of I don't like it. Sure hoping they are all pure and just have a fluke egg color/size. Most of his + ratings are from items he bought not sold so is a very new seller on eBay. Hope some of this is helpful

I bought some cemani eggs off eBay. They were large and white. None hatched so who knows what they were. I'm done with eBay,sticking to byc people for the best deals, know the farmer

I think, from now on, that is what I will be doing. I resell clothes and things over Ebay, so I was excited at first when I saw the ability to bid on HATCHING eggs... but it's losing its luster with me after a couple of incidents already.

The eggs were shipped in two separate boxes (two separate auctions). One box contained three, cream-colored, small Cemani eggs. The other box contained three, large darker eggs. The seller admitted that it was possible that one box contained silkie/cemani cross hybrids, since that one particular auction was for 2+ Cemani OR 3+ Silkie/Cemani crosses (I was given the choice) I'm thinking they just forgot... but the seller told me to let them know how the hatch went with those three odd eggs. If silkie crosses hatch, they'd send me three pure Cemani eggs. Granted, a Cemani/Silkie cross does sound kind of cool.
