Hatching quail eggs with a hen!

Thanks I guess I’ll look for some sermas
Be aware that unlike other breeds serama come in a variety of sizes. Many people prefer to use larger birds for breeding stock as they are often more productive. All of mine are considered Micro, class A-8 to 13 ounces while B and C birds are a pound or more. While I think serama are the best for hatching quail eggs, other, somewhat larger breeds, would probably do as well.

I also watched a video (a chick called albert) where a guy put the quail eggs into metal tea eggs 0c658b72a048c13cc4093e734e77aaa9.jpg with a bit of straw. That way the chicken couldn't crush the eggs, but they would still get warmth. You just have to be aware of when they hatch so you can let them out of the egg.
