I have a friend who is looking to hatch a number of quail for a customer. can anyone advise incubation temp, how long they take from placing in the incubator to lock down/hatch. how long before they feather out to go outside. This is for a commercial restaurant business so will be looking at a large number of eggs to hatch each time.

Hi,

I am assuming you are talking about Coturnix quail?

Incubator temp 99.5F in a circulated incubator, 101F in a still air incubator
Humidity 50-60%

Incubation 17 days, lockdown 3 days prior to hatch.

Sexual maturity 6-8 weeks of age. In cold temps they should be 6 weeks before going outside.
