Hatching Question?

We have 6 chicks in my hubby's home-made incubator. They starting breaking through the shell this morning (is that pipping?) My question is, when they break through their sac is there supposed to be a small (and I mean small) amount of blood? Please tell us they are okay!

We are anxiously awaiting their final breakthrough!!

I've never seen it before. BUT, I saw a thread last week where someone had one like that. I believe it turned out ok.

to me it looks like where the chick broke through the membrane and it went through a small blood vein...all 6 are making their wonderful peeping noise!
