WI~chickening for 30 years!
Hello--I have a friend tha tis doing a test hatch for me. She has two birds out over the last two days and a few more to go. Can the babies stay in the hatcher as long as chicken babies or do they need to get out after a day or so? I guess they are peeping like crazy and driving her nuts! My cots all hatching within a day so I have no info to give her.
Thanks for any help--TerriO

They need to be removed from the hatcher within 24 hours. They need to eat and drink as soon as possible. They do absorb the yolk inside egg as chickens do, however they seem to need to eat and drink quicker than chicken chicks.
