I have had seramas just about a year now and started with s few babies and hatching eggs. I have hatched various breeds about 10 times. But mostly silkie and seramas. Even with the local eggs I only hatched 2. The larger eggs are much more forgiving of the low humidity and I had little issue with those but the silkies and seramas struggled to hatch and would get stuck when I kept humidity too low. I have hatched 3 batches of my own eggs, my own I had around 80% survive with the lower humidity and some assistance to stuck chicks. I turned the humidity up a bit and bravo 100% healthy chicks. I wish eggs shipped better I would ship but if anyone is interested in local babies let me know. I do vaccinate for Marek's and keep chicks indoors for the first few weeks to limit temperature extremes then garage with lights as needed per weather.
