Hatching shipped eggs 2/3... Anyone else Hatch-Along?

Two more days til lockdown....and we've got a winter thunderstorm...
What is it about thunderstorms that causes hatching problems? Other than the obvious electricity going out,,, is it just old wives tales?

That certainly isn't a problem. I've been having trouble keeping up to at least 25%...
Our house is wood heated, so very dry. I'll be adding water every day during lockdown through a tube.
Woohoo, lockdown is tonight!!! :D will candle once more!

Recandled once more, down to 20, temp going into lockdown- 100.5-101, (still air) temp 12 hours later after adding warm water and taking out the turner 96f with humidity of 68%....aarrgghhh, trying to get temp up without overdoing it and cooking them.
The temp had been so steady during the first 18 days, does the turner motor add that much heat ore is it because they are lower in the bator? :/

A lower temp is great for lock down.just not that low..the added water dropped the temp and that is normal.but Taking out the turner drops it down lower in the bator and sometimes putting the eggs in a tray or in an egg carton keeps them at the same height and temps. If it does not adjust you can cover one side of the bator and take out a plug or add a plug..touching that knob at this critical juncture can be scarrry. I avoid it like the plague.
