Hatching shipped eggs tips

Georgia is on my list for consideration to settle down. Leaning toward the Carolinas.
Do it!!! South Carolina is my favorite because I love Charleston so much, but I'm GA born and raised---hard to imagine living anywhere else! Good luck as you form your plan. Wherever you settle, it sounds like you'll be hauling birds on the highway! :)

We spent 20 years as military... so wouldn't be much different. We would probably choose our favs and sell/give away the rest.

I've never heard this, and I'd like to know where you heard it... I've heard various bunk. Regardless, it's not necessary to wait that long. For example, around 4/5 days, when it's dark, I shine a bright light through the eggs (while still in the incubator). It's pretty obvious which are developing. Try it a few times and you will see. It doesn't have to be a massive ordeal. I just take about a min to see what is developing. Before I crack an egg, I do a more thorough candeling to confirm. It's always the same result.

Pretty sure I read it in a facebook group, so take it for what it's worth.

Lol well I see so much baloney on those. I have turned off my notifications now. Just too much drama, honestly.

Indeed, lots of baloney everywhere to be honest. That's why I was careful to say "I've read" and not state it as a fact since I don't know it for myself. Too many just repeat what they see like it's gospel.

In this case, I've now seen two different things stated so I think it's time for me to check for myself. Hopefully won't be too stinky, lol :)

Thanks for the inspiration!
