Hi,
I recently have bought some buff orprington eggs online and after candling them 4/6 have detached air cells. They are currently sitting for 24 hours before going in to incubator. What should I do to increase the chances of them hatching? Should I keep them upright and just rotate them? Should I keep humidity the same?
Thanks,
Marshall

I just had a similar situation. All were badly saddled. I put them small end down in an egg carton in the incubator. I put a small book under one side of the carton on day 5. Then alternate sides 3 times a day. It just barley tilts them. I have ended up with only one egg still viable with 7 days to go.

When you place them in the incubator do not turn them for 3 days. It help the egg to resettle with the higher temperature and humidity. Basically your conditioning the egg into position.

Thanks! I’m going to try not turning them for the first 3 days and then slowly tilting them in the egg carton. Hopefully this works!
