Hatching some ducks

AHHHH!! I am trying to hatch some ducks. I have never hatched any before. I let them set about a week longer than the chickens and still no ducks. I was almost ready to throw them out today. I candled them and saw movement inside. Anything different from hatching chickens? Any help appreciated.

oooo weee, yes some differences!

Takes about 28 days rather than 21, the humidity is different . . . if you have movement, good, you may still have a decent hatch.

I am not a hatcher, just an occasional cheerleader for the brave ones who hatch.

I rec PMing Lacrystol she is very experienced at hatching ducks and can give you some good tips before you set eggs again.

I may try again later in the Spring. I wasn't prepared for the ducks, A guy gave me the eggs in with some Buff eggs.
