I've searched and found a lot of info, but not quite the question I am after.
There were 6 eggs, 3 hatched Monday night. She stayed on the nest as long as she could keep the fuzzballs with her. It's now Wed. pm and no pipping, and at least one of the remaining eggs, if not more, has been left to get cold. Hubby thought there was movement for sure Sunday/monday...When I candled the remaining last night they were black - no air cell to be seen.
Question: Once they break through the air cell, how long do they have to pip?
Suggestions? As mom is doing this interference is minimal - but I would like to learn from it for next time.
