My duck has been loyally sitting on eggs for about 20 days and today she got off them and crushed an egg killing the chick inside. She left the eggs and I don't have an incubator. I put them under a heat lamp and took the temperature it's about 100 degrees. What else can I do??

Can you put them in a container, wrap the outside with a blanket, and put a shallow dish with water inside. Also put a thermometer in that you can see to make sure the temp doesn't go up or down too much.

Use a shelf liner for bedding.

I put the eggs in a box covered in a towel under the heat lamp. I have a dish of water in the box with the eggs. And a temperature thingie next to the box.

Is it okay that they are with some chicks? 1660438493781504106433538694808.jpg
