Hatching with a broody hen first time?!

This is the first time I have hatched with a broody hen! Last year I managed to hatch a few chicks and a peahen . My question is I have no idea how long the chicks have been incubated under the hen. When I candled the eggs. I can see they are totally full and dark apart from the air cell.

What is your question? A broody will do all of the work for you.

If they are dark then more than likely they will hatch soon.. within a few days give or take.

Is she separate from the other hens? That would be my only concern till Chicks are up and running around with Momma.

I have put her in a separate rabbit hutch where she seems very happy and is beside her other siblings. She is a chick I hatched in October from a silky serama cockerel and a silver laced wyandotte mother. Very eggcited to see how the chicks turn out?
