Some overzealous chicks started pipping early while in the turner. I got them sorted and in baskets. It was a classic case of hurry up and wait!
I think the baskets will work much better than the bags. We will all find out together!

I had a great hatch with the baskets! My best advice for anyone wanting to hatch with bags is: use a basket with it! no tangled chicks amd lots of room for them to move. Make sure the bag is secured. Active little chicks will find a way out of their baskets if you let them.

what size baskets did you use? i’ll be hatching some chicks that are all black - some split to mottled, some split to lav, etc and have been nervous about them getting tangled. seeing how many eggs you have in the basket and knowing the size would probably help me more than looking at a basket in the store and wondering how many eggs would fit.
