Hatching

Today is day 20 of my very first hatch. The first egg out of 11 (one got dropped by my daughter at the very beginning) is hatching. I'm so excited. Wish me luck!

It is actually a random laying mix. I only know one is an Americauna! Excited to see what else I get!

We have 3 chicks and four more hatching! The one in the original picture got stuck in her shell and dried out. I left her 24 hours so she could absorb most of the yolk, and used the walk-through on this site to slowly help her out. She is doing great!

I have been using the same incubator for 15 years now and tried to put it in
storage last month and the grandkids found me some goose egg's in the
yard so it came out of storage before the dust could collect on it

Hatching is an addiction for which there is no know cure
