Hatchling can't walk

In addition to the hobble, you could try putting her in a small cup. It forces her to stand up, which will strengthen the leg muscles. There are lots of video's out there on Youtube.
Thanks. I knew that the did that for twisted leg but I thought that was more about mobilization. I didn't realize that it built that much muscle.

It's time for me to do a search. 😉

I just had one hatch yesterday. Mine I suspect is caused from the change in temperature. A broody was sitting on a nest for about 12 days and then abandoned it.

This chick hatched splayed legged. I quickly used vet wrap and taped her up similar to how you did. When I checked it today 24 hrs later the left leg is doing the same as yours. I’ve re wrapped it and plan to do the cup as a form of physical therapy a few times a day. From what I read the sooner it is tended to the better the chances of reversing it. Good luck with your baby ❤️

Meant to post earlier but got busy.

UPDATE

I checked on the chick this morning and I found the bandaid hanging off one leg. The last time I had checked on her was before I went to bed last night so I didn't really know how long she had it on. At that point it would have been about 14 hours since I put it on her.

What I didn't expect was that it didn't seem to matter. She was standing, walking, and running as if she never had a problem in the first place. Maybe her problem was corrected so quickly because her spraddled leg was very mild compared to the ones I saw on the net. She was also just a hatchling.
