One of the Ameraucanas I hatched yesterday cannot walk. She keeps falling to the side and kicking her legs. I thought it might be a weird case of spraddle-leg, and taped her legs, but it hasn't helped. She is alert, and can eat and drink (if I hold her... she cannot stay upright) and I cannot feel anything physically wrong with her legs. She just can't use them. Any thoughts?? She cheeps constantly, and it is breaking my heart....

aww thats sad

hope she gets better...but idk i'm new

Well, she's a little better today. She is nearly vertical, but still falls when she tries t walk. She's very wobbly. I tried putting her in with the other chicks, and I thought they were going to kill her, so she is still isolated. Any ideas? Encouragement?

Try taping the legs individually so that they are perfectly straight and try to make the chickie stand if that doesn't work hopefully the chickie just needs some more walking lessons put a nice treat about 6 inches away from the chickie and make it walk to the treat to get it
