Hatchling ducklings question!

and was wondering how long you guys keep ducklings in the 'bator before removing them to the brooder. What is the ideal time length? How soon do they need to eat & drink?

The ycan go 3 days like chickens. The main problem with ducks is that you don't want to open the bator until you are sure there are no more hatching, or until you know they are done. They can dry out really fast. My DS opened my bator once during a duck hatch, unbeknownst to me. The last duckling had it's bill out almost completely, and that's where it got stuck. Of course, after it died, my father told me my kid had taken the lid off. If he had told me sooner I might have been able to save it.
