one little chickie, lots more eggs. this is my first time. I read the stickies on hatching, but i'm concerned that i don't see any more "pips" or "zips" in the clutch. these are new mommies too. any chance the girls didn't incubate evenly? when should i worry about not seeing pips in the rest of the eggs? my real thought is do i need to take away the hatchling if the others aren't ready yet?

They can hatch a couple days apart... if one was on the outside a lot, it could slow growth rate. If you have an incubator, I would warm it up just in case momma gets off the nest tomorrow or the next day leaving the other eggs. You could pop them in and then return them when they hatch... Good Luck
