Hate to say it......but ducklings are soo messy!!

Oh, yeah! This weekend, my four call ducklings are going outside into a little duck house and pen. They are fully fledged now. They deserve more space, and I deserve a less messy bathroom! Their brooder is ..... Well, let's just say it needs a hard scrubbing, not just a cleaning.

And I'm dying to see how the Cayuga pair react to the babies. (Hence the ducky house & pen.)

Oh no...I won't tell my husband this...we will be getting about 20 ducks this spring! I'll have to prepare myself. I didn't realize they would be way worse than chickens.

YES! Try to brood that many in a kiddie pool, perhaps in a garage?

Well, let's just say that 2 Ducklings & 2 Goslings in one brooder and 25 chicks in another brooder tub and the Ducky tub always needed some kind of clean up. They were a LOT more work than the chicks. But the way the ducks and geese made me laugh=priceless! Worth every bit of extra work and I'll do it again and again.

I never told my hubby who was working away in Kansas. When he left his job to come home I had a yard full of ducks. Im going to be sending off an order next week for another 14 duckling...have I told him....NOPE!!! Will I tell him....YEP, when they get here!!

I didn't know this about ducks when I took my first five home in the backseat of my car. What? It was only a ten minute trip.........

yes i must admit that my partner didnt want to get ducks so when he was away with work one week he came home to duckies!!!!
