Have a bit of a situation

Ok I’m gonna try the niacin and soupy feed and pry for a good outcome! Thanks again for all your support! You guys rock!

What exactly would be a tasty treat to a duck other then lettuce or feed?

Well good to know some treats... so I have come to the conclusion that my baby here has been being pecked and bullied by the other 2 bigger ducks ... I took her out to swim and the first thing the others did Was to peck at her neck, head and body it was malicious! Therefor she is for now an inside duck until she gains her confidence back which has already started ... she is eating now and drinking way more...knowing she won’t be taken out from behind!

Once she is healthy and perky again you might think about putting her behind a fence or in a kennel so the flock can see her but not harass her. It might take a couple weeks but maybe a slow integration back in would prevent them from harassing her in the future. Sometimes that can be a slow process and take several weeks.

One last question and I know I’m all over the place but my duck after finally eating something ... is now coughing and yawning! Could she have a plugged up crop? If so where in the —— do I find that exactly... because with her head resting on her body I feel around just at he point where her neck meets her body... is that it? Or is that breast bone? I swear she falls under just about ever ailment possible...

There is a good article on wry neck on this site under articles. Neurological disorder, hold their head down loose balance walk like they are drunk, can be a vitamin defiency, I have a 14 week old pekin with it.

Might be that since she hasn't eaten in a while, she might have like overeaten. Make sure she has water, and if she doesn't stop, or it seems like she's choking or can't get it down, there is a website on what to do to help if you look it up.
Aw they're just young ones:)
Good luck!
